Tear Staining
You may wonder why some dogs eyes water, which causes a reddish brown stain on the fur just below their eyes. When the facial hair is wet from excess tearing it is the breeding ground for bacteria and yeast. Not only is it unsightly but may be very irritating to your pet.
Tear staining can be traced to health and diet, as well as genetics. Here are some helpful tips to improve your pets well being:
Keep your Pet Healthy: Have your pet checked at least once a year by your veterinarian for ear infections and ear mites, gum infections, common yeast or bacterial infections of the eye (especially Red Yeast) and for clogged tear ducts.
Check your Pet’s Diet: Artificial food colorings (dyes), artificial food additives and preservatives, corn, wheat and soy can cause allergies in dogs.
These allergies can cause tear stains.
Keep your Pet’s Eyes Clean: Hair in the eyes can cause infections and irritation. Eyelashes can grow at abnormal angles and rub on the eye. Check your pet’s eyes regularly. Also check for collected dust, stray hairs, and dried tears. Any foreign matter in the eye is likely to lead to tear stains. Puppies tend to tear more when they are cutting teeth. Check your puppy eyes regular to kept the hair out of their eyes you may want to cut the hair around the eyes or train the hair to lay down.
Use ANGELS' EYES Daily:You can purchase Beef Liver, Chicken Liver or Sweet Potato /Brown Rice. Me personal I like to use chicken liver because dogs loves chicken.
Dosages Per Bottle Size:
Puppies up to 3 months 1/8 teaspoon daily mixed in their morning food. (30 Gram bottle) will last you about 4 months (120 days)
Dogs 2-5 lbs: 1/4 teaspoon mixed in the morning food (30 gram bottle) will last you about 2 months (60 days)
Dogs 5-8 lbs:1/2 teaspoon mixed in the morning food (30 gram bottle) will last about (30 days)
Dogs 8-12 lbs: 3/4 teaspoon mixed in the morning food (30 gram bottle) will last you about (20 days)
When your puppy gets to weigh about 5-8 lbs I would order the (60 gram bottle) will last you about 2 months (60 days)
DIRECTIONS: SHAKE BEFORE DISPENSING. Suggested use: Give daily until tear stains subside and continue use for an additional 30 days.
If tear stains reappear, repeat procedure. Store bottle in a cool dry place.
